"Faithfully" is a song by American rock band Journey, and the second single from their album Frontiers. The song was written by keyboardist Jonathan Cain. It peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the band their second consecutive top-twenty hit from Frontiers.

Despite featuring no chorus, it has gone on to become one of the band's most recognizable hits and has enjoyed lasting popularity. In a Classic Rock article, "Faithfully" was called the greatest power ballad ever recorded.

Lyrics

Highway run

Into the midnight sun

Wheels go round and round

You're on my mind

Restless hearts

Sleep alone tonight

Sendin' all my love

Along the wire

They say that the road

Ain't no place to start a family

Right down the line

It's been you and me

And lovin' a music man

Ain't always what it's supposed to be

Oh girl you stand by me

I'm forever yours, faithfully

Circus life

Under the big top world

We all need the clowns

To make us smile

Through space and time

Always another show

Wondering where I am

Lost without you

And being apart ain't easy on this love affair

Two strangers learn to fall in love again

I get the joy

Of rediscovering you

Oh girl, you stand by me

I'm forever yours, faithfully

Oh, oh, oh, oh

Faithfully, I'm still yours

I'm forever yours

Ever yours, faithfully

I loved Journey in late 70s. I drove across country on 3 days notice when I was 21, 1978. Went for 2 weeks, stayed for a year. Journey on the brain lol. I saw great shows and got backstage at 2, but not them. A while after I flew home, my sister and her bf had Journey tickets!!! She gave hers to me because she wasn't that into them. Wow what a show! 1981 I think.

I saw them again in 2019. Got my sis front row to see her fav band, Def Leppard. Journey opened. After Steve Perry... what can I say. Music is everything
